The British Army’s official parachute display team will be a star attraction of the Lifeboat Week.

The Red Devils, based at Netheravon Airfield on Salisbury Plain, is a team of 15, all of who have seen active service in the Falklands, Northern Ireland, Kosovo, Sierra Leone, Afghanistan or Iraq.

The parachutists are widely acknowledged as among the best display team in the world, and every year carry out shows at public events worldwide promoting the British Army and the Parachute Regiment, known as ‘The Paras’.

A week-long seaside celebration of music, dance and song. Since 1955.
There has been a folk festival in Sidmouth in the first week of August every year since 1955, now attracting tens of thousands of visitors to over 700 diverse events with broad ‘something for everyone’ appeal.
With an ear to the past and an eye on the future, the festival features established stars and emerging talent; major concerts, lively roots parties; small intimate sessions; ceilidhs and folk dancing; storytelling; fun family entertainment and youth-centred sessions; hands-on workshops and spectacular dance displays; the best in South West crafts and the tastiest of local food and drink.

Your event

Arrival at River Cottage HQ

You will need to bring your confirmation email and invoice (that contains your order number) with you on the day and exchange this for your wristbands at the gate. This is emailed to you upon booking. Entry will not be permitted without this.

Food & Drink

There will be plenty of seasonal food and a selection of the finest local beers, ciders, cocktails and soft drinks available to buy throughout the weekend (not included in the ticket price).

Weather

This event is mainly outside. There will be marquees and some undercover spaces, but please check the weather forecast, our social media and our website beforehand and dress accordingly. The ground will be uneven, so we advise you wear comfortable shoes.

Dogs

We’re sorry – to protect our livestock, dogs are not allowed on the site.
